OUR HISTORY

Movida was officially born on October 25, 2009.

It 's a program conceived by Sergio Cortassa, better known in fitness world as Gio Bandanas.

Gio has always been able to customize its classes through the various experiences acquired during the years. This is why slowly its desire to identify with something new and more personal grew.
With the support of many instructors and pupils who believe in him, above all Elena Di Stefano (who takes care of all communication and not only) and the great desire to create a winning and professional team... snapped that famous click!

...It was on June 27, 2009, I was in Ibiza for a long weekend.
One evening as others, I was getting ready to go out for dinner.
The atmosphere was beautiful, the sky faded at dusk between orange and purple, I could see it from the window while I was wearing my shoes.
I felt euphoric... I don’t know why. I also called my mother to tell her that I was fine.
There was something strange...

After a wonderful dinner of fish and white wine we decided to go for a walk and take a coffee in a bar where a lovely girl, friend of Max, worked.
While sipping our coffee without getting too much sidetracked by the big eyes of Marcela, we heard music coming from the little square direct opposite of us, where many people were gathering.
We said goodbye to Marcela and let us suck in from the music played by some guys and people dancing around them ... after a few minutes we were all bare-breasted because of the heat and I put on my mythical “Bandanas”.
I realized that the boys of the group noticed me, maybe because of my look, a little bit gypsy, in fact they let me go on stage to dance with their two dancers.
After some seconds spent wiggling our hips, they started playing a salsa that I knew very well, so I decided to try to make dance all the people under the stage, then followed merengue, bachata ... well... I made them dance for thirty minutes in company with the two dancers, up against the amazement of the musicians. It was a magic and wonderful moment.
The boys who had warmed the crowd with their music were the “MOVIDA 4life”.
That evening we all lived incredible emotions: so many people, air of feast and fun, just one word to describe that atmosphere: MOVIDA.
The next day as I woke up I said: Let's try!
