ABOUT MOVIDA...

Movida is a fitness lesson, that is a mix of movements:
-very simple
-repeated over time
-combined with the music

The fusion of these three elements will enable participants to feel they are working hard, that they are training and to have a vision of their body that remembers the dance, so that they maintain a beautiful smile during the whole lesson. In this way the class turns into a group of people who play the same choreography, but each one with its own style and intensity, to become a single group, active and cohesive: this is movida philosophy.

Movida has two main purposes: to entertain the participants and to train them, that is the quest for fitness through fun. This is the reason of our slogan: TRAIN YOUR HEART TO SMILE!

The main strengths of Movida are:
- allowing participants to make mistakes without getting left behind the others;
- allow participants to enter the group in each period of the year;
- giving the basis to perform any kind of movement and/or dance, without the participants could even realize it;
- developing the sensation of belonging to a wonderful family.


HOW IS A LESSON STRUCTURED
Movida combines many small choreographies of styles, music and different rhythms as: salsa, merengue, bachata, reggaeton, hip hop, pop, latin pop, rock, mambo, cumbia and all yesterday and today dance music.


STAGES OF A LESSON
In physiological terms Movida is an aerobic and/or interval training lesson, and like all aerobic classes it starts, with the first song, with a low-impact warm-up phase.
From the second song onwards, intensity and paces increase to raise the heart rate and trigger the aerobic and anaerobic energy systems. The penultimate song is used as a cool down or active slow down and prepares to the final song for stretching and relaxation.


MOVIDA BENEFITS

Movida benefits are the same of all other cardiovascular activities:
- improving cardiovascular, cardiopulmonary, musculo-skeletal system
- improving coordination

- toning overall, but especially the lower limbs
